Some Reason why Jesus Is NOT God/god

[1] The Bible Says that God is not Man

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man…”

Hosea 11:9 “…For I am God, and not man…”

Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible:

John 8:40 “…a man who has told you the truth…”

Acts 2:22 “Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God..”

[2] The Bible Says that God Is Not a Son of Man

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man…nor a son of man…”

The Bible often calls Jesus “a son of man” or “the son of man.”

Matthew 12:40 “…so will the son of man be…”

Matthew 16:27 “For the son of man is going to come…”

Matthew 28 “…until they see the son of man coming in His kingdom.”

[3] The Bible Says that Jesus Denied He is God

Luke 18:19 Jesus spoke to a man who had called him “good,” asking him, “Why do you call me good?  No one is good except God alone.”

[4] The Bible Says that God is Greater than Jesus

John 14:28 “My Father is greater than I.”

John 10:29 “My father is greater than all.”

[5] Jesus Never Instructed His Disciples to Worship Himself

Luke 11:2 “When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.”

John 16:23 “Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name.”

John 4:23 “… true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth….”

[6] The Bible Says that Jesus prayed & worshiped God

Jesus prayed to God with the words:

John 17:3 “…that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

Jesus prayed to God all night:

Luke 6:12 “he continued all night in prayer to God.”

How did Jesus pray to God?

Matthew 26:39: “he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father.”

Even Paul said:

Hebrews 5:7 “During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions ….”

[7] The Bible says that the disciples did NOT believe Jesus was God

Acts 2:22 “Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God ….”

Acts 3:13 “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his SERVANT Jesus.”

Acts 3:26 “God raised up his SERVANT…”

Acts 4:27 “…your holy SERVANT Jesus, whom you anointed.”

Acts 4:30 “…of Your holy SERVANT Jesus.”

The Bible says that Jesus was God’s servant, chosen one, and beloved

Matt. 12:18 “Behold, My servant, whom I have chosen, in whom My soul is well pleased.”

[8] The Bible says twice that Jesus was accused of being God

 but he denied it

According to the Bible, on only two instances the Jews opposed Jesus on the basis that he pretended to be God or equal with God.  Had Jesus, claimed to be God, he is likely to have been opposed on this basis more frequently.  Because in these two instances, when charged, in the one case, with making himself God, and in the other, with making himself equal with God, he denied the charges.

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”’? quoting Psalm 82:6 “I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.

In answer to the charge of making himself God, he appeals to the Jews in substance thus: Your own Scriptures call Moses a god, and your magistrates gods; I am surely not inferior to them, yet I did not call myself God, but only the “son” of God (in metaphorical sense) (John 10:34-36).

[9] The Bible says Jesus is not all-Powerful

John 5:19 “The son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he sees his Father doing.”

John 5:30 “I can of mine own self do nothing.”

[10] The Bible says that Jesus is not All-Knowing

Matthew 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

[11] The Bible says that at times of weakness angels strengthened Jesus; God, however, does not need to be strengthened

Luke 22:43 “An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him [in the garden of Gethsemane].”

Mark 1:13 “And he was in the wilderness forty days being tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts, and the angels were ministering to him.”

[ 12] The Bible says that Jesus and God have two different wills

Luke 22:42: “not my will but Yours be done.”

John 5:30 “I do not seek my own will, but the will of Him who sent me.”

John 6:38 “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me.”

[14] The Bible says that Jesus and God are two distinct characters, not the same

John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me.”

1 Corinthians 11:3 “Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”

1 Corinthians 15:28 “When he has done this, then the son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.”

[14] The Bible says that God cannot be seen, but Jesus was

John 1:18 “no man has seen God at any time.”

[15] The Bible says that Jesus grew in wisdom, but God is all wise

Psalms 147:5 “Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.”

Luke 2:52: “And Jesus increased in wisdom.”

Heb. 5:8 “Although he was a son, he learned obedience…”

[16]    The Bible says that Jesus was tempted, but God cannot be tempted

James 1:13 “for God cannot be tempted by evil”

Heb. 4:15  “tempted in every way—just as we are”

Luke 4:2 “where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

[17] The Bible says that Jesus’ teachings were from God, NOT Jesus himself

John 7:16 “So Jesus answered them and said

“My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me.”

[18] The Bible says that Jesus died, but God cannot die

The Bible teaches that Jesus died.  God cannot die.  Romans 1:23 and other verses say that God is immortal.  Immortal means, “not subject to death.” This term applies only to God.

[19] The Bible says that Jesus lived because of God

John 6:57 “I live because of the Father.”

Jesus cannot be God because he depended on God for his own existence.

[20] The Bible says that Jesus’ powers were given to him

Matt 28:18 “All power is given unto me.”

God is all-powerful, no one gives God His powers

[21] The Bible says that Jesus was taught & commanded by God

John 8:28 “As my Father hath taught me, I speak these things,”

John 12:49 “The Father, who sent me, he gave me a commandment.”

John 15:10 “I have kept my Father’s commandments.”

No one can teach God, otherwise God cannot be All-Knowing

[22] Bible says that God made Jesus “Lord”

Acts 2:36 “God has made this Jesus… both Lord and Christ.”

“Lord” is not the same as “God.” “Lord” (the Greek word is kurios) is a masculine title of respect and nobility used many times in the Bible.

If Jesus were God, then for the Bible to say he was “made” Lord would make no sense.

[23] The Bible says that Jesus was lower than angels

Hebrews 2:9 “But we do see him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus.”

God, the Creator of angels, can not be lower than His own creation

[24] The Bible says that Jesus called the Father “my God”

Matt. 27:46 “My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?”

John 20:17 “I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.”

Rev. 3:12 “… the temple of my God… the name of my God… the city of my God… comes down out of heaven from my God.”

Jesus did not think of himself as God,

instead Jesus’ God is the same as ours.

Prophet Muhammad in the Bible THE PAROPHET

download

In the Bible we read of the test that the Jews applied to Jesus in order to ascertain his truthfulness. The Jews had a prophecy that required Elias to come before Jesus

« And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all thing. » [Matthew 17:11]

They had not seen Elias yet so they doubted the claim of Jesus. Jesus, however, responded to them that Elias had already come but that they did not recognize him. In Matthew we read:

« But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not … Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. » [Matthew 17:12-13]

Then, the Jews approached John the Baptist as per [John 1:19-21]

« And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed,I am not THE CHRIST. And they asked him, What then? Art thou ELIAS? And he saith, I am not. Art thou THAT PROPHET? And he answered, No. »

We notice that there are three distinct prophecies here:

[1]  The Christ
[2] Elias
[3] The Prophet

The Jews were not waiting for two prophecies, but three.                                       This can be further clarified by reading John:

« And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be:
1  not that Christ,
2  nor Elias,
3  neither THAT PROPHET? »     [John 1:25]

If “that prophet” were Jesus wouldn’t the third question in both verses be redundant? Further, we must remember that “That prophet” can not apply to any prophet before the time of Jesus because at the time of Jesus the Jews were still waiting for all three.

“the Prophet” occur in [John 1:21] that these words refer to the prophecy of [Deuteronomy 18:15] and [18:18.] We conclude from this that Jesus Christ is not the prophet mentioned in Deuteronomy.

« I will raise them up a PROPHET FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN, LIKE UNTO THEE, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. » [Deuteronomy 18:18-19]

(1) “From among their brethren”

● The BRETHREN of Israelites (descendants of Abraham through Isaac) are the Ishmaelites (descendants of Abraham through Ishmael). Jesus is here excluded as he is an Israelite; otherwise it should be written “a prophet from among yourselves.”

« And he (Ishmael) died in the presence of all his brethren (children of Isaac) » [Genesis 25:18]

● Children of Isaac are ⇨ the Jews
● Children of Ishmael are ⇨ the Arabs

And so the children of the one are the brethren of the children of the other.
so the prophet is from the brethren of the Jews which are the Arabs
so we have an Arabian prophet.

(2) “Like unto thee”

Who was like Moses? Jesus or Muhammad?
Jesus was unlike Moses in many ways while Muhammad was like Moses:
this is some area of Comparison between Moses,Muhammad and Jesus

Birth
◇ Moses ⇨ Usual
◇ Muhammad ⇨ Usual
◆ Jesus ⇨ Unusual

Family life
◇ Moses ⇨ Married & children
◇ Muhammad ⇨ Married & children
◆ Jesus ⇨ No marriage or children

Forced Emigration
◇ Moses ⇨ emigrated
◇ Muhammad ⇨ emigrated
◆ Jesus ⇨ None

Writing down of revelation
◇ Moses ⇨ In his lifetime (Torah)
◇ Muhammad ⇨ In his lifetime (Quran)
◆ Jesus ⇨ After him (Gospel)

Nature of teachings
◇ Moses ⇨ Spiritual-legal
◇ Muhammad ⇨ Spiritual-legal
◆ Jesus Mainly ⇨ spiritual

Encounter with
◇ Moses ⇨ Hot pursuit
◇ Muhammad ⇨ Hot pursuit
◆ Jesus ⇨ No similar encounter enemies

Result of encounter
◇ Moses ⇨ Moral-Physical Victory
◇ Muhammad ⇨ Moral-Physical Victory
◆ Jesus ⇨ Moral victory!

◇ Moses ⇨ Rejected then accepted
◇ Muhammad ⇨ Rejected then accepted
◆ Jesus ⇨ Rejected (by most Israelites).

Death
◇ Moses ⇨ Usual
◇ Muhammad ⇨ Usual
◆ Jesus ⇨ Unusual

(3) “Put my words in his mouth”

● If I ask you to read [Deuteronomy18:18] and you read it, would I be putting my words into your mouth? No. But if I were to ask you to repeat after me what I say, for example:

“Say: He is Allah the One and Only. Allah, the Eternal Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is he begotten: And there is none like unto him.” [Quran 112]

● Prophet Muhammad was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them exactly like he received it without even changing the Archangel words like “say” or “Read” etc…

● God Almighty says in Quran
“Nor does he (Muhammad) say (aught) of (his own) Desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him.” [Quran 53:3-4]

(4) “My words which he shall speak in my name”

● In Quran 113 of the 114 chapters starts with
“In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.”

Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) said:
“Verily the grinder of Islam will continue to grind, so continue with the Quran wherever it moves. Verily the Quran and the authority (of Islam) will be separated from each other, do not leave the Quran. There will be rulers amongst you, who will allow for themselves things which they will prevent for you. If you disobey them then they will kill you. If you obey them they will misguide you. Do as the apostles of Jesus did; they were cut by saws and hung upon wood. Being killed in obedience to Allah (swt) is better than a life of sin.”

[at-Tabarani, Mu’jam al-Kabeer, Mu’jam as-Sagheer and Shameen]

God have a God!!

Jesus speaking
“The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of MY GOD. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of MY GOD and the name of the city of MY GOD, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from MY GOD; and I will also write on them my new name.MY NEW NAME.” [Revelation 3:12]

can God have a God ?!! None can be the supreme God and have God in the same time .. and this verse is said after Jesus left earth which leaves no room for fully man fully God excuse

in the end of the passage Jesus said that he is getting a new name!! does god get a new Name ?!!

The Bible says:
“God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD…..has sent me to you.’ “This is MY NAME FOREVER” [Exodus 3:15]

God’s name is eternal, while Jesus is having a new name, and that’s another reason why Jesus is not God

Why does Allah seal the hearts?

Christians and Non-Muslims asks; If Allah is sealing the hearts of disbelievers, he is taking away their free will so they can not be judged !!

“Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.”(Quran 2:7)

[1] This verse does not refer to all the disbelievers rather it refers to those who bent on rejecting the truth although they knew it.

this verse is directed to:

◕ Jews who used to harass Prophet Moses in spite of all the signs and miracles they saw but the rejected truth.

◕ Jews who rejected Prophet Jesus (Pbuh) and used to insult and blaspheme against him and against his mother although they saw signs and miracles that Jesus did but they insisted on rejecting it.

◕ People (Jews & Christians & Pagans) who insist on disbelieving in Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) although they know in their hearts that he is a true Prophet.

◕ Hypocrites who if they want to convert to Islam that would only to corrupt Islam and misguide people.

[2] Allah did not wronged this people rather they wronged themselves. so it is not because Allah has set a seal on their hearts that these disbelievers do not understand and believe, but it is vice-versa. It is because these disbelievers bent on rejecting the truth and whether they are warned them or not they will not believe, that Allah has set a seal on their hearts.

[3] Their hearts are only sealed for as long as they wish to keep themselves in denial and ignorance. So, if a person wishes to open his eyes and learn, his seal will be removed because the door of repentance is always open.

“Except those who repent, have faith and good deeds, those Allah will charge their sins for good deeds. Certainly Allah is most forgiving and merciful.” (25:70)

[4] If you are a Christian or a Jew  you will understand in the light of these verses

[John 12:40-42] “The Lord has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts— so that their eyes cannot see, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and have me heal them.”

Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he said this, because he saw the future and spoke of the Messiah’s glory. Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders.

But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue.

[Exodus 9:12] “But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said to Moses.”

[Romans 9:18] ‘Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.”

[Mark 6:52] “for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.”

[Ezekiel 12:2] “Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.”

The Truth about Jesus

The Truth about Jesus is that e was only a Servant, Messenger of God and the Massih (Messiah) who was sent to guide the Children of Israel with a new scripture called the Injīl (Gospel).

He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24)

“The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus” (Acts 3:13).

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” (Acts 10:38)

“So Jesus answered them, ‘My teaching is not mine, but His Who sent me.'” (John 7:16)

To aid in his ministry to the sons of Israel , Jesus was given the ability to perform miracles, all by the permission and power of God rather than of his own power.

“I can of myself do nothing…..” [John 5:30]

“Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.” (Acts 2:22)

Jesus was not God, as he himself said:

“And Jesus said unto him, Why call me good? none is good, except one, that is, God. ” (Luke 18:19)

“As it is, you are determined to kill me (Jesus), a Man who has told you the truth that I heard from God” (John 8:40)

The belief in the true Jesus is required to get eternal life, you can not claim that you believe in Jesus while your ideas about him is totally different from the truth.

Biblical mix

Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only,
The Lord our God is one, my God and your God,
Why do you call me good? No one is good but One, that is, Allah.

[Matthew 4:10 & Mark 12:29 & John 20:17 & Mark 10:18]

“They have certainly disbelieved who say, ” Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary” while the Messiah has said, “O Children of Israel, worship Allah , my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed, he who associates others with Allah – Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.” [Qur’an 5:72]

Jesus – The only Muslim Christians Like

Christians are those who claim to be following the Muslim Prophet Isa’ Al-Massih (Jesus Christ), but they have big four misconceptions about him

[1] Nature
[2] Religion
[3] Mission
[4] Death

[1] Nature

Christians believe that while on earth the Jesus had two natures, he was fully man and fully God in the same time, which is something he never claimed, rather he said he was only a man and the people in his time had the same belief

▣ John 8:40
“…. I (Jesus) am a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God…”

▣ Acts 2:22
“Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you”

▣ Numbers 23:19
“God is not man, nor a son of man, “

▣ Luke 18:19
Jesus replied “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good–except God alone.”

▣ Luke 24:19
“And he said to them, “What things?” And they said to him, “Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people”

[2] Religion

Jesus being the Christ himself can not be a Christian, Many Christians claim that Jesus as a Man was a Jew, which is not true

Being a Jew is not a religion, it’s a race, if you are from the tribe of Judah then you are a Jew, and Jesus was not even from the tribe of Judah, he was a Levite from his mother’s side

“religion” is the description of the relationship between God and man, Islam is to submit to the will of God, and that was the way of life which Jesus followed and preached

▣ Luke 22:42
saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

▣ John 5:30
“I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.”

▣ John 4:34
“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.”

[3] Mission

Jesus did not came to die for anybody’s sin, he came to preach the message of God to the Israelites, he was not a universal messenger

▣ Luke 4:43
But he said to them, “I must preach the Good News about the Kingdom of God in other towns (of Israel) also, because that is what God sent me to do.”

▣ Mark 1:38
Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else–to the nearby villages–so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”

▣ Matthew 15:24
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

▣ Matthew 10:5-6
“These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: “Do not go in the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans; but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

[4] Death

Like his birth, Jesus departure to earth was miraculous too, Jesus was not killed or crucified on reality by the Jews like they thought, but in appearance only,  Jesus did not die yet, rather he was saved by God and ascended to heavens and will come back to bring peace to earth

▣ Hebrews 5:7
” During the days of Jesus LIFE on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was HEARED because of his reverent submission. “

▣ Luke 4:10-12
“For the Scriptures say, ‘He (God) will order his angels to protect and guard you (The Messiah).  And they will hold you up with their hands so you WON’T even hurt your foot on a stone”

▣ Acts of John 97-103
“… John, unto the multitude below in Jerusalem I am (Jesus) being crucified and pierced with lances and reeds, and gall and vinegar is given me to drink….”
“… NOTHING, therefore, of the things which they will say of me (Jesus) have I suffered:  nay, that suffering also which I showed unto thee and the rest in the dance…”

▣ Second Treatise of the Great Seth
“I (Jesus) did not succumb to them as they had planned… And I did not die in reality but in appearance, lest I be put to shame by them… For my death which they think happened [happened] to them in their error and blindness..”

▣ The Apocalypse of Peter
“…He whom you (Peter) saw on the tree, glad and laughing,  this is the living Jesus. But this one into whose hands and feet they drive the nails is his fleshly part, which is  THE SUBSTITUTE being put to shame,  the one who came into being in his likeness. But look at HIM and ME…”

▣ The First Apocalypse of James
Jesus replied “…James, do not be concerned for me or for this people…”  “…NEVER HAVE I SUFFERED IN ANY WAY , nor have I been distressed. And this people have done me no harm…”

see also Gospel of Judas, the Gospel of Barnabas

▣ Qur’an 4:157-158
“That they say [in boast], ” We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah” but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.”

Anglican bishops declare that Jesus is not God

“More than half of England’s Anglican Bishops say that Christians are not obliged to believe that Jesus Christ was God, according to a survey published today. The pole of 31 of England’s 39 bishops shows that many of them think that Christ’s miracles, the virgin birth and the resurrection might not have happened exactly as described in the Bible. Only 11 of the bishops insisted that Christians must regard Christ as both God and man, while 19 said it was sufficient to regard Jesus as ‘God’s supreme agent'” [British newspaper the “Daily News” 25/6/84 under the heading “Shock survey of Anglican Bishops”]

But what is a messenger of God? Is he not “God’s supreme agent”?. This is indeed what God Himself has already told us in the noble Qur’an 1400 years ago, and exactly what Jesus (pbuh) himself testified to in the Bible:

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3
